The Learning Ladder - Programs
At The Learning Ladder, we believe in providing children with a broad base of experiences to build a good foundation for future learning. Because of this belief, students in the preschool programs have the opportunity to participate in extra program options including Spanish, Computer, Stretch & Grow, and Tae Kwon Do. These programs are optional and each program has its own fees.
Preschool Program
Our preschool program offers a “prepared environment” for children 48 months to 5 years which allows children unlimited opportunities to interact with their surroundings. In this program, children have the freedom to move freely, selecting activities independently. The goals of the program are to develop a child’s potential for creativity, initiative, independence, inner discipline and self-confidence to their fullest extent. Our teachers provide a Montessori-based program with hands on activities for exploration and interaction in language, mathematics, sensorial materials, practical life, art, music, science and geography. Our program is geared to the developmental level of each child and provides
a balance of activities throughout the day.
Early Preschool Program
Our early preschool program introduces children from 24 months to 48 months to a social, interactive, creative, inviting environment. Activities presented in the classroom promote fine motor, eye-hand coordination and sensory exploration. A nurturing, home-like setting is provided, encouraging independence, self-sufficiency, sharing and problem solving. A daily, an age appropriate curriculum is presented that includes a range of language, math, sensory, science, practical life activities, art and large motor skills. Our preschoolers experience growth through their interaction with the classroom environment, other children, and our caring staff.
